Daniel spent more than a decade owning and operating a mid-sized dental laboratory from startup through sale. He's a full-time Professor of Restorative Dentistry at NYC College of Technology (CUNY), Executive Editor of Inside Dental Technology, a curriculum consultant to the ADA's Commission on Dental Accreditation, and Principal Consultant at Dental Technology Consulting, LLC — where he's advised organizations from single-technician startups to some of the largest dental manufacturers in the world.

He developed the first CAD/CAM program within an ADA-accredited dental laboratory technology curriculum, has published more than thirty peer-reviewed articles, and was named Educator of the Year by the National Association of Dental Laboratories. He has also served for several years both as Chief Advisor and as a standing board-level Advisor to organizations within the dental industry.

None of that is really the point, though.
